Reduce the chances of your furnace breaking down. Studies have shown that when a furnace has annual tune ups, 1/3 has much less breakdowns.
Tune Up and Safety Checks for Furnaces are:
- Carbon monoxide: When the tune up is done, a check is performed to check the levels of this gas.
- Combustion chamber/heat exchanger: Our expert technicians check on both items.
- Burner flame: A check of air adjustment and gas are performed. If necessary the burner will be cleaned.
- Pilot/igniter: Clean, if needed, and maintain.
- Motors: If required, replace belts and oil. Proper operations will also be inspected.
- Vent pipe to chimney: Inspect the pressure of the draft and pipe.
- Burner compartment: Clean the dust and scale from compartments and any other important areas.
- Flame sensor/pilot safety timer: Thermocouple will be changed out, if needed and normal maintenance check will be performed.
- Blower wheel: Clean and inspect.
- Furnace filters: Note correct replacement size and look over condition.
- Controls: All the controls and thermostat will be inspected.
